This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) governs the manner in which Alva-Amco Pharmacal Companies, LLC (the “Company,” “we” or “us”) collects, uses, processes, maintains and discloses information collected from users (“Users,” and each a “User” or “you”) through our websites, including and and other specific brand websites that we own and which are hyperlinked to this Privacy Policy (collectively referred to as “Sites”).

This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we may collect through our Sites, how we use or process this information, who we may disclose this information to, and how we protect your information.  This Privacy Policy also tells you how to reach us with any questions about this Privacy Policy or our data privacy practices, how to update any information we collected about you through the Sites, and how to opt-out of receiving information or mailings from us.  

This Privacy Policy applies only to information collected through our Sites.

Personal Data Collected

As used in this Privacy Policy, “Personal Data” means any information that may be used, either alone or in combination with other information, to personally identify an individual. We may receive and/or collect Personal Data in the following ways: 

Personal Data You Provide Us.  We collect Personal Data from Users if they voluntarily submit this information to us on the Sites.  For example, if you have questions about the Company’s products or need other information, you can contact us by filling out a form on our Sites, in which you will be asked to enter information about yourself. The Personal Data we may collect includes: Contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address and telephone number; Inquiries you may have about our products, including information or comments you may provide to us about the products that you have purchased from us or your use of such products.

Personal Data Collected Automatically.
Log Files on Our Sites. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (“IP”) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (“ISP”), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, clicked pages and any other information your browser may send to us.

Cookies.  We may collect certain information about Users whenever they interact with our Sites by using Cookie technology.  Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser, if you so allow, that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.  This technology does not personally identify you or extract information from your computer.  We may use Cookies to provide an enhanced online experience, to monitor and measure the use of our Sites and to improve their design and content.  The type of information collected may include browser information, operating system, type of computer, internet service provider and other similar information.  We also may include web beacons in our email messages in order to determine whether messages have been opened and to identify the IP address of the computer on which they were opened.  The information we may obtain in this manner also helps us customize the services we offer on our Sites and to measure their overall effectiveness.  You may be able to decline Cookies by changing a setting in your web browser. Strictly necessary cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Sites and cannot be switched off in our systems. The Purposes for Which We Use Personal Data

We may use the Personal Data you provide to us as follows:

  • to respond to your questions and comments that you communicate to us through the “Contact Us” feature on the Sites or to respond to your request for coupons;
  • to send you information such as Company news, updates and related product or service information, including special offers such as coupons, events, programs or offerings that you may have registered for;

Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data

We rely on the following legal grounds for the collection, processing, and use of your Personal Data:

  • the processing is necessary to provide the services as requested by you;
  • your consent;
  • the processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which you are a party or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract;
  • the processing is necessary for compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject;
  • the processing is necessary for the purposes of the legitimate interests pursued by us or by a third party, except (for residents of the European Economic Area (“EEA”)) where such interests are overridden by the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of you which require protection of Personal Data; such legitimate interests are the fulfillment of the processing purposes set out above.

We have reasonable and appropriate security measures (including technical and organizational measures) in place to protect against the loss, misuse, and alteration of any Personal Data we receive about you through the Sites. Retention of Personal Data

How We Disclose Personal Data

We do share your Personal Data with our third party services providers who assist us in operating our Sites, as described below.  As also described below, we may release your Personal Data when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our Sites’ policies, or protect the rights, property, or safety of ourselves or others.  Note that although we do not disclose your Personal Data to third parties for marketing or advertising purposes, de-identified or aggregated User information may be provided to other parties for marketing, advertising, or other uses.

  • We may share your Personal Data with service providers that perform certain functions or services on our behalf, such as to assist us in operating our Sites, performing analyses and providing certain other components of the Sites.  We do not authorize our service providers to use or disclose this information, except as necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or other regulatory agency if you believe that we have violated any of the rights concerning Personal Data about you.  We encourage you to first reach out to us at [email protected], so we have an opportunity to address your concerns directly before you do so.

Interest-Based Ads and Do Not Track.  Unaffiliated third-parties may use cookies and other technologies on our Sites to collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites you visit in order to provide you with interest-based advertising.  You can generally opt out of receiving interest-based advertisements from members of the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance by clicking here for NAI and here for DAA. When you opt-out using these links, please note that you may still receive advertisements.  They just will not be personalized based on your interests. Some internet browsers incorporate a “Do Not Track” feature that signals to websites you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked. Given that, there is not a uniform way that browsers communicate the “Do Not Track” signal, our Sites do not currently interpret, respond to, or alter its practices when it receives “Do Not Track” signals.

Commercial Emails.  If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from receiving future commercial emails, please use the unsubscribing method stated in the commercial email, or send us an email at [email protected] with the subject line UNSUBSCRIBE.  We will remove your information from our records immediately.  Please note that your request not to receive future emails from us will not apply to messages that you request or that are not commercial in nature.  You may also be able to review and request changes to information that you provide on the Sites in order to request a coupon or to contact the Company. EEA Individuals’ Privacy Rights.  In certain circumstances, local data protection laws and certain local laws (including the GDPR) may give you rights with respect to Personal Data if you are located in the EEA.  These rights differ by country/region, but may include:

  • Other rights in connection with automated decision-making.  Furthermore, under certain circumstances with respect to automated individual decision-making, you have the right to obtain human intervention, express your point of view, and contest the decision.

California Privacy Rights

California residents who provide personal information in obtaining products or services for personal, family or household use are entitled to request and obtain from us once per calendar year information about the customer information we shared, if any, with other businesses for their own direct marketing uses. If applicable, this information would include the categories of customer information and the names and addresses of those businesses with which we shared customer information for the immediately prior calendar year (e.g., requests made in 2020 will receive information regarding 2019 sharing activities). We will endeavor to honor these requests unless such a request conflicts with certain lawful exemptions under the California Consumer Protection Act. Please note that Alva-Amco Pharmacal Companies, LLC is only required to honor such requests twice in a 12-month period.

We comply with the requirements of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act.  We do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age.  Our Sites are directed to people who are at least 13 years old or older.

We will only use your Personal Data for the purposes intended and as detailed in this Privacy Policy, unless we have obtained your consent to use it for other purposes.  By using our Sites, you consent to our Privacy Policy. Our Sites are based in the United States.  Accordingly, if you reside outside of the United States and use our Sites, you consent to the transfer, storage, and processing of Personal Data about you in the United States.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We may periodically update this Privacy Policy to describe new Sites features, products or services we offer and how it may affect our use of information about you. If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will post a notice on the Sites prior to the change becoming effective.
